If you were familiar with the exposure settings of the OnePlus 3/3T, it involved focusing on a subject and then moving clockwise to increase exposure.
In the OnePlus 5, instead of the clock setting, you'll see a vertical line next to the focus. Simply slide it down to reduce exposure and slide it up to increase it.
The OnePlus 5 incorporates a clever AF/AE lock, which locks exposure levels and maintains fixed focus, even if lighting conditions change or the object moves.
So if you're recording video, this mode will ensure consistent lighting throughout, making it look more professional.
