When File Explorer opens, you will only see recent files. Tap the three-bar icon at the top to browse photos in other folders. You can also view and open any other gallery app to upload photos directly from file explorer.
With this method, you don't need to open the Google Drive app every time you want to add photos. You can use the Share menu from any app, whether it's a file manager, gallery, or chat apps, to upload photos to any Google Folder Drive.

Step 3 :The Save to Player screen will open. Type the name of the photo or use the suggested name. Select the required account if multiple accounts are added. Also select the Google Drive folder where you want to save the photo. Tap options to choose another account or folder.

Many users wonder if they can delete photos from their phone's Gallery app after uploading them to Google Drive. The answer is yes, provided you use both methods above. Once you've uploaded the photos to Drive, you can safely delete them from the Gallery app. The two are not linked as it happens in Google Photos. You can still view them in Google Drive. However, do not delete them from the Google Drive app.
Tip: Find out where to save photos:Google Photos or Drive?
The two methods above are limited in functionality. First, Google Drive does not offer an automatic photo sync feature. Second, you cannot import folders into Drive using the mobile app. You will need to use Drive on the computer for the same purpose.
Luckily, both of these limitations can be overcome with the help of third-party apps. We explained how to automatically sync photos to Google Drive and how to upload folders to Google Drive on Android.
The above methods should have helped you save photos to Google Drive. If you need to upload a large number of photos, don't upload them all at once. Often, due to network issues or other issues, you may experience synchronization issues. We suggest dividing them into small groups and then downloading each group separately.
