Let's see how to re-enable someone on Instagram on Android and iPhone. But before that, let's understand what happens after you reactivate someone so you can make the right decision.
As mentioned above, you can mute a person's story and posts. When you mute someone's stories, their stories move to the end of the stories bar and stop appearing at the beginning of the feed at the top.
When you turn Stories back on, they start appearing in the Stories bar as normal with the colored ring whenever the person uploads a new Story. Stories will also autoplay when watching stories, which was disabled when you muted a story.
Likewise, accounts whose posts you've hidden won't appear in your feed unless you re-enable them. Reactivating an account will show those people's posts in your feed whenever they post a new post.
Note: Deactivating or reactivating someone does not send a notification to the person concerned. That is, the other person won't know when you turn it off or on again.

Step 1: Open the Instagram profile you deactivated.

This method is handy if you accidentally mute someone or want to unmute everyone you've muted. Instead of checking profiles one by one, Instagram offers a dedicated setting to show all muted accounts. You can then reactivate any profile.
Step 1 :Go to your own Instagram profile and tap the three-bar icon. Select Settings.
Step 2: Tap Privacy, then Mute Accounts.
Step 3: Here, you'll see all hidden accounts along with information about whether you have hidden stories, posts, or both. Tap the profile you want to reactivate.
Step 4: You will be redirected to the profile screen for that account. Tap Follow like we did in the method above and tap Mute. Disable the toggle for Stories or Posts, as needed.

When you mute a conversation, you won't be notified of new messages from that person. New messages will silently appear in your inbox. If you open your inbox, you can view and reply to messages. Similarly, you can also disable video chats separately.
