Note :All the tips we share here are for experimental features. You can access it by simply typing "chrome://flags" in Chrome's address bar.

1. Password generation

Of all the things we do on a web browser, creating new passwords every time you have to create a new account is literally a pain in the back part of your body.

However, Chrome promises to help you out by offering password suggestions whenever you're about to create a new account on a web page.

Look for the "password generation" option in the list of experimental features. Once there, select Enabled in the drop-down menu and the browser will ask you to launch it again. 11 hidden features of Google Chrome for power users

Once this feature is enabled, Chrome will automatically offer a suggestion every time you fill out a form where a password is required, and believe me, it would be better than what you usually use.

You are also free to modify this functionality according to your needs so as not to lose a password if it is too difficult to remember.

2. Audio mute UI control

Internet access or, as we commonly call it, web browsing has become very complex and rich in multimedia. Today's websites offer a variety of content and make full use of audio-visual media for maximum impact on the audience.

However, sometimes it happens that you find yourself on a particular music portal listening to your favorite radio channel and you visit another website that has embedded content.

You can choose to move away from this tab in order to continue listening to your radio channel or you can simply deactivate this tab.

3. Important sites options in Clear browsing data dialog

Here is another very important tool that I personally think Google should make public. When clearing browsing data, there are often some websites that we don't want to clear from history.

With this feature, we have the ability to save data from a few websites while erasing everything else.

Chrome has a hidden built-in feature that allows it to exclude certain websites, which users are free to choose.

Once you've done that, whenever you feel the need to clear your browsing data, Chrome saves the sites you've told it to keep and deletes the rest.

4. WebUSB

What comes to mind when you hear the word USB? USB sticks, external hard drives, keyboards and mice probably? Well, it's quite common. However, there are tons of other USB devices that we can use but unfortunately our computers cannot install such devices.

WebUSB is an important feature for devices that can be controlled directly from a website and do not require a computer to act as an intermediary.

5. In-form warnings for sensitive fields

There are some great tips to improve your security in Chrome's list of experimental features. Although these are not as complex as the features we have already mentioned, they are quite useful.

First, we have the warnings for sensitive fields such as passwords or credit card information when not using an HTTPS page.

6. Last used date of the credit card in autofill

If you are a regular online shopper like me, keeping tabs on the last time you used the credit card online can be of utmost importance. Google Chrome is also ready to help you here.

9. Suspend background tabs

With support for tabbed browsing, Chrome has revolutionized the way we surf the internet. Now, instead of multiple browser windows, a single window can be opened containing multiple tabs.

Taking a few steps towards this handy feature, Chrome has released a number of hidden features that maximize browser performance. One of them is the ability to pause background tabs.

Whenever you leave a tab open in the background, Chrome will keep it alive for five minutes and it will pause the tab after that, providing better performance for active tabs.

10. Auto-reload visible tabs only

These days, most websites rely on something called auto-refreshing pages to keep their content fresh. This might sound really awesome, but imagine all your tabs refreshing at the same time. Not so good after all, right?

11 hidden features of Google Chrome for power users

Such high performance can put a lot of load on system resources and can also cause system crash. To solve this problem, Chrome introduced a built-in feature. It can prevent tabs from reloading in the background, saving valuable resources and providing much better browser performance.

11 hidden features of Google Chrome for power users To enable it, look for the Only auto-reload visible tabs option and select Enabled in the drop-down menu.

11. Automatically delete inactive tabs

Another cool feature that can be really useful is Auto tab removal . When enabled, it allows Chrome to automatically remove inactive tabs when system resources reach a critical point.

It's Not All, Guys!

To be honest, what I've told you here is just the tip of the iceberg. But you have to keep in mind that a seemingly innocent iceberg sank the Titanic. Be sure to take steps to adopt these features, as they are experimental and may cause issues.

However, these are really useful and I think regular internet users should definitely use some or all of these features. In the future, I will make other lists of hidden secrets that Google has kept up their sleeves. So stay tuned!
