The first thing you need to do is sign up for the Google AdSense program if you haven't already done so.

The Google Matched Content feature is available for websites that meet certain traffic requirements.
To see if your website is eligible, you need to visit your Google AdSense dashboard and click on Settings »My Sites from the menu on the left.
If you can see the 'Matching Content' option there, then you're good to go. Otherwise, your site(s) do not meet the matching content requirements.
With that said, let's see how to easily add Google Combined Content to display related posts in WordPress.
First, you need to sign in to your Google AdSense account, click My Ads in the left menu, and then click the 'New Ad' button.
Next, you need to select 'Matching content' as your ad type.
On the next screen, you'll see a preview of your Combined Content box with ad settings. On the right side, you will see the option to customize unit settings.
You will also see the option to monetize the content unit paired with ads, so you can earn money. Of course, you can choose not to show ads and only use Combined Content for related posts.
Once you're done with the setup, just click the 'Save and Get Code' button.
You need to copy your ad code and paste it into a plain text editor like Notepad or TextEdit because you'll need it in the next step.
The most effective place to display related posts is below your individual posts. Many WordPress themes already come with a widget area or sidebar that appears below the post content and before the comment area.
