Recently, one of our users asked if there was a way to limit the number of posts displayed in the RSS feed of his WordPress site. RSS feeds provide your users with an easier way to subscribe to your site. However, sometimes you may want to limit the number of posts the user can see in the RSS feed, thereby encouraging them to visit your site. In this article, we will show you how to limit the number of posts displayed in the RSS feed of your WordPress site.
If you don't like the video or need more instructions, continue reading.
The first thing you should do is go to Settings »Reading page in your WordPress menu.
Next, you need to change the value next to 'Syndication feeds show the most recent' option. Simply enter the number of posts you want to display in the RSS feed.
Below this option, you will also see the option to display the full text or summary of your posts in RSS feeds. We recommend using a summary because it reduces font size and increases page view. After that, you need to click the Save Changes button to store your settings.
That's it, you have successfully limited the number of posts displayed in your site's RSS feed.
