You need to add GOG GALAXY files to antivirus and firewall exceptions. Assuming you are running Windows Defender, open Windows Settings and navigate to Privacy &Security title.
Expand the parameter. Next, under the Protection Zones section, click on the Virus &Threat Protection heading.
Then select Manage Settings then under Exclusions select Add or remove exclusions entrance.
Then click the Add or remove an exclusion link at the bottom of the screen, and select from files, folders, file types, or processes. In this case, we will select files and add the following files to the exclusion list.
