Features

The Intel Core i7-12700 should feature a Golden Cove six P-Core and eight E-Core (Gracemont) for a total of 20 threads and 14 cores. The Geekbench program detects the E-Core cluster, which includes four Gracemont cores in one. Also, there must be 2 E-Core clusters on Intel's Alder Lake engineer, so software is definitely confused with writing. L3 cache memory is correctly described at 25 MB, which is 3 MB per core (18 MB) from P-Cores and 3 MB per cluster (6 MB via E-Cores).

As for clock speeds, the processor ran at a base clock speed of 2.1 gigahertz but had a boost clock of 4.8 GHz. Performance

In terms of performance, Intel's Core i7-12700 scored 1595 in single-core and 10170 in multi-core. By comparison, you can notice that even in its current state, the chip is 3% faster than the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X as well as 13% faster than the i7-11700K core. It comes very close to the core i9-11900K despite ES clocks, running with half the cores idle. Also, single core output is affected due to lower clock speeds on ES samples, but assume it is around the 1700 range once final samples are reached.

Intel Alder Lake offers the grouping of less powerful, more energy-efficient cores, which the company calls electronic cores, and larger, more influential P-cores, which are the perfect combination for improved power output and utilization. . Depending on the scenario, Intel Alder Lake will use E-Cores for some workloads, while P-Core will be used for weightlifting.

At HKEPC, Intel confirmed that Alder Lake Graphics' 2 P-cores and 8 E-cores could deliver up to 50% better performance while consuming less power than a relative 4-core P-core design. This is why Intel chose to use the latest hybrid approach.
